Hi, I’m Ashley.

I’m wife to Scott, and mother to a rambunctious 4-year-old named Decker, and a sweet little 15-month-old Kressa. I love my kiddos to pieces, even though at times, they push me to the brink of insanity. Oh, I also have a toy poodle named Shiloh, whom I refer to as my “first baby.” I spend my days as an attorney and after working for a completely insane boss, I decided to venture out on my own and start a solo law practice. Being a lawyerpreneur is challenging, but I feel very blessed that it allows me to make my own hours and spend as much time as I want with my family. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

While I was pregnant with D, I got my hands on a “fancy camera” and decided to learn how to use it. And so began my obsession with photography. Early on, I had brief delusional ideas to start my own photography business, but decided I really don’t enjoy taking photos of other people. I am completely content documenting my own family and calling myself a hobbyist photographer. I knew I had begun to mildly understand how to operate my DSLR when others would see my pictures and exclaim, “Wow, you must have a really good camera!”

You won’t see many posed photoshoots on this site (not much time for that), but you will see lots of lifestyle images. I love capturing the essence of everyday moments and especially my children’s childhood. I still consider myself pretty amateur when it comes to photography, so I’m learning more everyday and am always pushing myself to improve.

Between running my own business, wrangling two kiddos, and chasing my family down with my camera, I really have no free time. But if I did have free time, I would spend it digital scrapbooking via the project life, browsing the latest beauty finds at Sephora, watching reality tv, drinking white chocolate mochas from Starbucks, undertaking a mission to live a minimalist lifestyle, and oversharing my life via a blog titled Life, Love, and Lens.

  1. I would live in yoga pants or sweats if it were socially acceptable, but alas, it is somewhat frowned upon in my field. :[ Looking forward to reading more of your posts! :]

  2. I love all your pictures on your blog, they’re absolutely beautiful. Your kiddos are adorable!!! Love their names. I wish you stayed in our blog tribe, I really enjoyed you being in it. Life is busy though, especially with two babies and a high demand job. 🙂
